For breakfast I ate a banana chocolate chip muffin and had a vanilla latte from Kodiak (
But I'm hungry again.
What else? Other than my spiritual reflections which I'll post behind a cut, not much.
I read an email devotional from Max Lucado entitled "He Could Have But Didn't". He talked about how Jesus went through all of the pain of being human which I strongly believe but have heard before.
But then he talked about how Jesus was offered wine. Seems simple enough right? Being offered something to drink before being nailed on the cross. But mixed in the wine was actually a sedative/pain killing agent. I'm forgetting which passage to look up, or I'd tell you all what I'm talking about.
Jesus went through the pain, not just being human, but denyin even the things everyone else would have taken.
He's been throuh all of the pain.
I've been thinking this lent season about the nails. Jesus had nails in his foot. He knows what it's like, he's dealt with it in more graphic and painful stuff than I ever will.
It's amazing to think about!
And now I'll post a song that is how I feel.
You Are My King (Amazing Love)
I'm forgiven because You were forsaken
I'm accepted, You were condemned
I'm alive and well, Your spirit is within me
Because You died and rose again
Amazing love, how can it be
That You, my King, should die for me?
Amazing love, I know it's true
It's my joy to honor You
In all I do, to honor You
You are my King
Jesus, You are my King
You are my King
