How did you choose your LiveJournal username? Is there an interesting story behind it?
This is a question I get a lot. A lot of people know me as puppybraille in various places, especially those who know a few of my friends. I use this username in several different places because it's good practice if you want people to find you, and I don't want to be bothered by coming up with more creative usernames when this one works just fine.

When I was in seventh grade, my sister convinced me to sign up for a hotmail account. I wanted something to do with puppies or bunnies, but my sister said that wasn't that original and someone probably already had a puppy email address. I thought about it more, I didn't want to use my real name with the address because I was in seventh grade and have internet-safety-conscious parents, so I started thinking of ways to make the email address unique. Eventually, puppybraille was born.

I actually remember thinking how cool it would be to combine the two things. One could read a book while petting the dog, how cool would that be?
