First, the blog has a new slogan which describes the blog better, and will hopefully be more helpful for those searching for blogs relating to the topics I blog about. The slogan is at the top of the blog, just above the "About this Blog" section for those who use screen readers. That slogan is "A girl, a Guide Dog, chronic pain and a sense of humor"
Moving on, the about this blog section is expanded. On one hand, I don't want it to be too big, but I do want people to know about things like email subscriptions and RSS, as well as another cool feature. Those features are easier to reach now, especially for those who use screen readers.
The guest book! AI haven't used a guest book in years, basically not since I actually maintained my old web site. I refuse to link to that site, but a relatively good googler can probably find it. Anyway, Nickie's Nook now has a guest book, thanks to
Bruce
and
Caroline
It allows for private messages as well as public ones. If it's effective enough, I may use that and phaze out the email form which is stuck down among all the links.
Just sign the thing, you know you want to!
Updates to the sidebar: I don't remember where the sidebar is if you're a sight-using reader, but I know it shows up below the entries if you use a screen reader. I have added links to a few more profiles of mine online, and I've also added a section devoted to my new year's goals. Posts relating to them will show up soon, I promise! And if you haven't checked out some of the other links, please do. They give some great perspective on some of the topics of this blog.
That's pretty much it. What I would like to change is the prominence of the book. I'd like to know if I could make it more obvious. Is it hard to find if you're sighted? I know it could be if you're blind. What would you suggest I do to make it easier to find the link to the book?
Lastly, I want to say a huge thank you to all of you who read this blog. I've learned so much from you, and I really hope these new changes help you as much as possible.
