Virtual hugs, real prayers

What happened at Virginia Tech today is incredibly sad. As a college student, I know I cannot imagine what would cause someone to commit such distruction. I cannot imagine all of the feelings and fears that are probably going through all of the heads of students who goe there.

What I can say is that I'm incredibly sad. And I want to extend support to anyone who was affected, directly or indirectly. I will pray for you.

If you need or want specific prayers, feel free to either comment on this post, write a public post linking back to this one or if you are uncomfortable posting publicly,
email me
I encourage others to consider posting from the heart. Don't post an offer like this if you don't mean it. Don't post because it's the right thing to do. Don't post because your friends are doing it. But if you feel moved to post, please post.

I know that if I were in this situation, I would need support. I would need to know that others were praying for me. As college students, we don't always have all of the resources we'd need to deal with something like this. I don't know what other resources are needed right now, but I do know that prayer is an incredibly powerful one that's appropriate in all circumstances.
