Anyone remember how unlucky I am with stairs? I don't take them much when I don't have to, but Julio and I have a hard time finding the wheelchair ramp that would take us to the basement of our residence hall (it starts outside). So, when we want to get inside, we do use stairss. Not ideal, but it works usually.

I had a huge bag of laundry (stereotypical college student that I am, I'd taken it home over Easter break and Mom brought it back today). Anyway, here I am, balancing way too much, nd there is snow/rain/something wet making the tile slick. I fell forward, up the stairs this time. One small bruise on RSD leg, and one huge bruise on non-RSD knee. The big trick is that I use that knee for a lot, and it doesn't like me right now. It's painful, but it wouldn't be a problem if I had more reserves from which to draw.

This is one of those times when you have to laugh. And then realize limitations and figure out another way to do it more safely the next time.

To Nickie
I have been watching you group for about 2 weeks, and I would like to say, I pray for you all the time. I too know how RSD just plain ole stinks.

Be glad you aren't me, if you were me, you'd be broken into several pieces. Feel better, I mean, for real :).

Yeah, I thought of you when I wrote this entry. My biggest risk is that any trauma to my body can spread RSD, but as clutsy as I am, I'd never survive if I were you.

I'm sorry to hear about your bruises. Please know that I understand how you're feeling. I hope you can heal soon, Nickie!
Prayers and extra hugs for you!
