I'm pretty happy with how i've been doing with some of my relaxation exercises. I'm still not as good at approaching things in a calm manner, but I think the exercises are improving. I'm actually getting better at calming my body down. I find my mind follows. And right now when it's so easy to freak out, it's nice to turn my mind off for a bit and relax. It's also good because for those twenty minutes, I don't have the butterflies in my stomach.
I'm finding that the class in relaxation was extremely beneficial. I'm very fortunate to have gotten in to it. Stressful weeks are perfect for using these pieces in my toolbox.
If I am successful in relaxing tomorrow, maybe I won't need as much medicine, or for that matter it might be easier to get the IV in. my veins tend to be hard to get when I'm tense. We shall see.
