The long day

My classes actually look very interesting. I suspect a thread of biopsychosocial stuff will run through all of the courses. I also suspect that disability and/or disease will be important in all of them.

The class called "Reading Illness" will be especially beneficial, I think. I found myself nodding and going "yep" to a lot of what was said. Two out of three of my classes do most stuff electronically, which makes me very very happy.

None of my worst fears have materialized, other than a heavy increase in pain (I actually had it calmed down somewhat for two days). I knew this was likely, which was why I tried to rest a lot this weekend. I am now very tired, because although I rested, I didn't sleep very well this weekend. And I've been awake since four thirty this morning.

All in all, not a bad start to what looked like a scary semester.
