Things going right.

It has been an emotionally hard time for me recenly, and I am pretty sure I know why. My usual response is to guilt myself into responding better, but that doesn't usually work. So, I decided to take a look at life differently. It's not bad that I am struggling, it's just something I need to manage. So, I'm doing just that. Here, I'm making another list:

  • The one good thing about the fact that I do have a final I didn't notice is that I can hang out here for a few more days, and it's in a subject i am doing well in, so the studying shouldn't be too awful.
  • I found a good set of relaxation mp3s that seem to be great for pain management.
  • I have friends I can trust who know exactly what meal constitutes the "RSD special" when my stomach is upset.
  • Julio looked like he might be sick, but is feeling much better now.
  • I slept better last night than I did Thursday night.
  • I got to hear my friends on ACBRI last night before and after the concert.
  • I'm almost caught up on ripping CDs so I can find the music I want without having to play every CD to find the one I want.
  • We're working with a lovely poem in Holywrit Rewrite (theo/lit course).
  • I am assimilating information into every day life from most of my classes.
  • Even though I kind of chewed on my lip, I didn't bite a hole in it.
  • I am making the best of my crazy schedule this semester, even with the challenges, I can honestly say I did my best. Whether that will be good enough is yet to be seen, but at least I tried.
  • I had a flu shot on Monday, and it was not painful at all. I barely felt it.
  • I'm finding blog posts that really fit with what I need to hear.
  • I came up with a great t-shirt design, but out of respect for some who read this, I will not post about it here.
  • The compilation of essays is going well.
  • While reading my early writing, I realized that I have indeed changed in the last few years, and most of that is for the better.
  • The school coffee shop was open today, so I was able to get coffee, even though I realized I couldn't/shouldn't go to Brewberry's.
  • Julio gave me a sweet hug this morningg.
  • I was reminded of a humorous idea yesterday.
  • I realized that I can have non-confrontational discussions about politics.
  • I have a great partner for a project I'm working on.
  • I am getting stronger every day.
  • None of the stupid accidents I've had today have done perminant damage, even if they may have killed more brain cells.
  • Julio just came over here, and laid his head on my leg.
  • I got out of bed today.
  • It's amusing to hear the way screen readers pronounce licsw.

There, I feel better now!
