In an effort to get these papers done, I've been doing that Letters to Santa meme, but keep getting people's names who I don't know if they mind being tagged. I just have one question: What's a dutch oven, and why does it get -10 points?

A Dutch oven is a big pot that you can put on top of a stove and do things like boil pasta, at least that's what I use mine for. And I have no idea why it would be worth negative ten points, in my book it would be worth something positive.

Yeah, it's a gigantic castiron pot, very old-school... My mom makes pot roast in ours... It's awesome.

"Dutch oven" is also a slang term for the following prank:

If you are sharing a bed or snuggling on a couch with someone under a blanket, you fart (under the blanket) and pull the blanket over the other person's head so they're trapped with the smell.

I've never been involved in such a prank, but I have heard of it.

What exactly is a meme? I've seen them on a few LJ's that I read.

Basically, it'ss something that's spreading like wildfire through societies or social groups. It could be anything from "Can you hear me now?" to the various quizs etc. that go around on LJ. If you want to read way more information that I do, I did find a Wikipedia entry
