I couldn't tell you where this subject is based from, so take it with a grain of salt. I was in intro to Social Work today, and we started talking about policy. Guess what came up?
- President Hoover's quote
We cannot extend government over people's lives without it taking mastery of their souls.
- President Rosevelt's "New Deal" and social Security. We even mentioned the help systems for blind people very briefly.
- President Johnson's war on poverty.
I can't escape the A.P. History stuff or the CIS History stuff if I try! At least I remembered us talking about most of this stuff.
Now, I'm off to relaxation, which I need. We shall see how it goes. Today we are supposedly doing some walking. I am going to attempt it without the cane, since I will need to go sighted guide and hold onto Julio at the same time, because he struggles with walking in a group. I will probably call my field services manager from
to ask for suggestions on how to remedy this. I hope everyone's doing well.
