Getting lost

Well, it was bound to happen in the next few weeks. Julio and I got lost. I found a new door to Whitby thanks to some kind and helpful people I don't think I know. I did manage to keep my cool, which is a very good thing. I hate feeling lost. Now, I'm just doing little things to keep the pain manageable. It is incredibly challenging.

I'm seriously considering taking my walker to class with me, but since I'm also taking a quiz in disability services, I'm not sure if I will. I guess I can try it. I just know that I need to keep the pain manageable.

I have to swallow my pride and accept that things are not the same as last year. I also have to decide how I should handle using a walker outside of the building. It's not easy crossing a street without being able to take full advantage of your Guide Dog's skills. Has anyone done this before?

On a completely unrelated note, the lip still hurts. I am learning my lesson about biting my lip the hard way. Bad Nickie!
