Initial impressions of Facebook's New Notes Feature

I just started using the new "Notes" feature on
It's not a bad feature, and it makes my life a little easier. I really have a love-hate relationship with Facebook, so I don't go on there much. I think I had some friend requests from several months ago still hanging around (oops!). But I thought I'd give it a try and see what I thought.

Setting it up

The set up process was easy. From my main facebook page (the page after you log in), I just clicked the "notes" link. It was two very short steps from there and I got to preview the results. That's all it took).

Reading my notes

My notes are supposed to get automatically synchronized from this blog to the "notes" on facebook. This means that my profile might get updated more than once a year.

Things i still wish would be improved

There's no easy way to monitor my friends on facebook. I don't want to log in every day, just to find out that someone has updated their profile. I want an rss feed, so I can subscribe in
and use a cleaner and easier interface. Then, I might be more inclined to read the profiles. As it is, I have to log in, then click on friends, then click on each profile. What if the only update is a new picture of someone's dog? That really will not help me.

Those are my immediate thoughts. I like the features they added, but I still want improvements to the interface so I can use Facebook to it's fuller potential.
