A post full of links

I just came back from a funeral, and although I need to write about the emotional stuff, I am not feeling able to do that yet. Here, for your enjoyment, are some links and posts I've seen recently. Look, click, learn!

Denise is an amazing blogger. I have no idea how she has the energy to keep up with all of the blogs she does, and write with such freshness. She
recently gathered several posts about the transition to college.
She always represents many diverse populations. You should take a look, and read her blogs. She also blogs on
which is a great network devoted to women's issues and needs in the blogosphere. I learn a lot everytime I read those blogs!

Chronic Babe says one in four people are in pain.
I can't believe that in 2006, we still haven't found better solutions to pain. I know that in life we will have pain, but pain management is important. As I said to someone yesterday, you don't suffer from blindness, but you do suffer when you're in a lot of pain.

There's a good reason this group of individuals should not have taken their dog to work!
The Guide Dog handler in me thinks that this is a good example of patterning!

I'm not the only one who can't stand being touched.
Seriously, boundaries are good things, especially with pain. Word to the wise, if I'm in a lot of pain, don't touch and don't stand within smacking distance without permission. I don't usually smack people for several ethical reasons, but it's wise to back off...

Glossary of a few terms I like to toss around.
I don't know how long this particular newspaper actually keeps articles up, or I'd link to it in my sidebar.

An interesting quandry, when two causes collide.
I like to support fair trade causes when I can. And I like to support women's causes when I can. I hope that someday very soon, they won't collide.

That concludes this post of links. Now that I've got the writing juices flowing, I'll be able to write about feelings etc. I wanted to share these links with you too though. I hope you found something you like. I usually just do links in my
page, but I know that that's removed from this journal. So, I decided to write here instead. Does anyone mind?

Re: From the Poodle (and dog) blog
Hi Jan,

I wish you luck with your research on Guide Dog training. A lot of the schools for guide dog training have good information. I'd be glad to answer any questions you might have. If I can help in any way, please let me know. There's a link to a form to email me on the sidebar of my blog. Thanks for commenting!
