Hand over he coffee and no one gets hurt!

Does anyone think I'm being too mean to say "you touch you die?" Because I need coffee, bad. Pain makes me crabby, lack of coffee makes me crabby and I've had both in abundance!!

I normally would have a block coming up this coming week but the doctor I see for those is out of the office I guess. This is not pretty. I also don't recommend the gritting your teeth method for pain management.

Anyone want to guess where I am on
This scale?

I made Mint tea, microwaving the water to the point of boiling and it didn't even hurt when it spilled... At least the tea should help the stomach.

I grit my teeth. Ouch.

Why isn't there another doctor who can manage your care since the treating doc is out of town? Somehow that just doesn't sound fair for the suffering. Where is the substitute taking call?

For me, coffee is the great equalizer! You are not being mean to say, "You touch - you die." You are only being practical in telling it like it is!

Re: I grit my teeth. Ouch.
My main doctor is probably there, just not the doctor who usually does the blocks but since I see my surgeon on Monday, I decided to wait to see what she thinks. Part of my hesitance to call the pain clinic is that my swelling is down. So I figured I could wait and get the surgeon's take on what I should do. If she thinks I should call, I will call and if nothing else see a nurse practitioner. I will be busier this weekend, so I will see how I tolerate that.

I just don't understand why the pain is so high if the swelling is so low...
