Observations

I'm having trouble writing today. Even after taking the Ambien last night, the pain cut through my sleep. My body is telling me it's bed time (it's not), and my mind is telling me the same. So all I can think is "sleep".

I finished the book Marley and Me. It was very good. I'd highly recommend it, unless you're really sensitive to grief. On the other hand, it might help to read it, if knowing that others have grieved helps you. It's available on Bookshare for those of you who are interested. I really enjoyed it.

I've been reading and have definitely appreciated the suggestions everyone gave me for reading. It's fun to read. It takes you to a different world.

Man, I'm tired!

Hugs!
Nickie

PS: Only five days of pins, two days till the pain clinic.

Marley and Me is one of my favorite books! The best part was the entire chapter called 'The Things He Ate.'

I started crying at the end of it because a month or so before I read the book my Uncle had to put his 11 year old black lab, Indigo, down due to a tumor. And then I kept running over to hug my 4 year old yellow lab, Nikki, and she just rolled over for a belly-rub.

Seeing Our Dogs
It's hard when books remind us of our dogs or dogs we love. I kept thinking about how dogs are not immortal. I saw Julio and Baxter (our pet lab/border collie) in the book.
