Testing a new client for posting

I'm trying the Semajic client to see if I want to switch to it. I like that I can now ping technorati if I want to. It's a little tricky, and there are some things I can't seem to find easily on the screen, but that may just be my own ineptitude or the fact that I'm not familiar with this client. We'll see what I end up doing though. It must be somewhat usable because I know others who use it. I haven't figured out how to get tags, music and mood done. I see many of those options at the bottom with my JAWS cursor, but when I click on it, it takes me to an LJ page... I'm confused...

The other client was three years old, and I just wanted to try something different.

Going to grad parties was fun, but really exhausting. I've got a friend's ordination to go to today. I'll get through that some how. I never expected that two weeks after surgery I'd still feel exhausted. That's life though.

working with Semagic
The older versions of Semagic were actually better in the navigation department. I have one I can email you if you like, or you can download 1.4.36 since I do know that one works very well. I'm trying to figure out the kinks with this new one so I can give them some decent feedback... If you put JAWS cursor on the word public by the security thing and then click, you'll get into the stuff you can tab through or shift-tab back through. Just don't shift-tab past tags or you'll ba back in the subject field and have to start all over. I see why it's doing this. I just don't know how to explain it to the folks there yet, and I think there may be an existing JAWS work-around.

Re: working with Semagic
Go into the Semagic options and turn off XP-style menus. Also check the box to have it get the tab order from a file, and load the tabs.ini file. I can pretty much tab to every field that way and I don't use any mouse emulation keys at all.
