When I was in junior high and high school, I was relatively active in my youth group. There were a lot of things I chose not to go to, and I now wish I had. But one thing I always went to was Jumys and Umys. (United Methodist Youth or with a j for Junior). At these weekend long conferences, we worshipped, sang, danced, talked, learned and had a great time. One thing you could count on was singing "Lean on Me". Over a thousand youth would put their arms around each other and sway back and forth, sing at the top of our lungs. When we went on

the same thing happened. And despite all of the things that happen, going away to college, having nasty things happen in our church and all of the stuff that comes with being a human, we're still there for each other. I did some stupid stuff (well, I still do), but they've been there for me.
To be honest, I've lost the point of this entry. But as I've journeyed through this memory, I've smiled. There are some things time can't kill.
