Observations on classes

We watched a film on the media's portrayal of women today in sociology. It was a pretty interesting film and in a way, it made me glad I can't see all of the images. From a different angle, it was a harder film to follow because I couldn't see the images. Most of it was something I figured out on my own and I was able to follow along and participate in the discussion. It made me think about my self-concept and raised some questions about how I view myself and what part of that is due to social structures. There is a lot I could write about that, but I'm not sure I'm ready to share all of that publiclly.

In that class, I made a connection which I hope will prove to be beneficial to the person I connected with. I can't say more, but I might be able to help someone. Usually, helping someone makes me feel a lot better about things.

In music, we're talking about the Baroque period. I'm surprised that I'm still understanding and synthesizing concepts. I don't normally have a talent when it comes to music, but I still find it enjoyable.

My body started to do a weird thing on the way back to the dorm. I got really shaky and my legs felt kind of numb. The last time that happened was at
when I hadn't eaten breakfast. The nurse had taken off a bandaid and cleaned a scrape. For some reason, Bactine and I do not get along. Anyway, that time I fell. Luckily, this time I made it back here and ate and now just feel slightly shaky. It was really scary though. I'm just glad it's over.

Speaking of Guide Dogs, pour Julio hasn't had much variety in his routes. On weekends I try to get beyond the campus, even if it's just over to Brewberry's, but this weekend was different. I feel bad for the darling puppyness, but am not really sure how to fix it for him. I could tell in his work today that he is bored.

Okay, it's off to work on stuff now.
