I got a very cool surprise in my email this afternoon; an email telling me that the
suit against the U.S. Treasury to get accessible currency was approved. (I am awful at legal language). The
Ruling in pdf
is available, though, so you can read it for yourself.
Finally, I'll have the ability to know with certainty, that I'm giving someone the rightt amount of money. This will give me less of an excuse for not knowing how much money I have, but in this case, ignorance is NOT bliss!
I've never, to my knowledge, been taken advantage of, but how would I know?
Since I know someone will be wondering, right now, I organize my money by folding it and putting it into some of the credit card slots of my wallet. Fives in one, tens in another, twenties (if I actually have them), in another and ones in the slot for paper money. It's a good system, when I'm not rushed, or when I know what I have. But if I'm at an ATM and get a ten and a twenty, I have no way of knowing which is which.
I'm really grateful that this went through. To me, this is one area where no one should have to rely on an imperfect system that can have flaws to know that they have the correct amount of money.
