Cleaning out the clippings folder

I tend to collect stuff that I'm going to comment on, reply to or blog about and never get around to doing it. So, just for fun, I'm going to go through my clippings folder on
Bloglines and see what I find. This post will probably be a bit long.
First, something I don't think i mentioned before, but is kinda sweet and is the reason I realized I've got a bunch of stuff to write about is something I found on
You can now get
Podcasts on MSNBC.
I don't know if any of the other networks are doing this, but I think it's kind of cool. I enjoy my podcasts for a lot of stuff. I love learning about technology and health issues, not to mention the entertainment. I like getting this information on my bookport or BrailleNote. But I don't know that I'd listen to a random podcaster talk about the news. There are things that paid journalists who work for the big gun networks can do/get that no one else can. There are things a podcaster can get that a network person probably can't either. But I'm not sure that I want to just randomly open up one of the directories and pick out a show in current events and trust it for my news content.
If the podcast news network or whatever it is that's coming out is as good as it's supposed to be, I'll consider it. But until then, I'm sticking with podcasts from the networks for my main news source.
Another link from Scobleizer:
Ipod Vending Machine Wouldn't that be neat? But what good would it do if there're no songs already on the Ipod? I guess if you have a laptop, Itunes and WiFi, you're good, but if you have that, you may already have an Ipod. Oh, and it'd be nice if the big Ipods were accessible... I mean really accessible. Yes, I do know about the Ipod shuffle. But that's so small in terms of memory. Give me something bigger and we'll chat.

Finally, a link from Web MD.
When life is rough, self-compassion may help. This is interesting to me. I've never really thought self-esteem works that well. I mean, good thoughts about yourself only carry you so far when you screw up or are having a bad day. And isn't this really talking about self-forgiveness?
Okay, there are more links, but I'll save them for later.
