I ended up making a new friend before we even left the school. Three of us, including the driver, got into the car and another group drove as well.
When we got there, it was way way cold. One of the girls let me borrow a glove fror my left hand. We had baggles and coffee from Penera's. It was good, but I wasn't a fan of the coffee. It warmed us up though.
We went around the little stands of sponsors where there was free stuff. Then finally, the walk started. Throughout all this, I had to keep wraps on Julio since there were lots of dogs. It ended up being so fun though!
Julio did a great job! We ended up walking about 4.5 miles before my foot gave out.
Let me just say that without Julio, the walk wouldn't have been nearly as fun! It was so nice to keep up with the group without going sighted guide. Julio did great! I did have to consider his needs, but that wasn't hard. He'll drink from a paper cup if necissary so I just gave him water that way. It was really amazing!
At Chevy's, I got to see a mutual teacher that
I'm sleepy now though!
Hugs!
