Accessibility in the 'blooking' arena

Cheryl Hagedorn writes an excellent blog about blooks and blooking, which is basically the practice of creating books from blogs. She examines various blooks and the methods used to produce them.

As we all know, I rarely stop talking and sharing, so about a week ago, Cheryl and I began conversing about how I created
Nickie's Nook: Sharing the Journey
and the accessibility of blooks and the processes used to create them. I wanted to share what she posted with you. Below, I'm placing the links to the three posts she created.

I'm impressed with Cheryl, because she's actually taken accessibility to heart and asked the tough questions of other publishers and readers. Thanks Cheryl, you're an advocate!

the blooking site
Thanks for sharing this. What a neat site! Since I'm in this process and have been doing the same thing with a couple of my projects, I'll enjoy getting in on this.

Espresso, huh!
Hi, Nickie. It's Cheryl from Blooking Central. Just for you I joined livejournal so I could leave a comment.

I continue to look into some of the issues that you raised. It seems that for most people, sighted or not, cut-and-paste is the only way to go. That sucks. And makes no sense.

By the way, I saw your post on Blogher about marketing. I just finished with a post about Deborah Woehr. She has a site where she looks at new books - give her a shout - you never know. Besides, she's written a blook herself so maybe she'll lean a little on your side :-)

Thanks again for the nice words.

Re: Espresso, huh!
I justt read your post, and bought her blog anthology (the title escapes me right now, but I think you'll know which one I'm referring to). I'll do some reading, and definitely email her. You're providing a great service to other authors who are still trying to figure all of this stuff out.

Enjoy your weekend!
