Philosophical quote of the day

Socrates

"
Wisdom begins in wonder.

I think things like this are why I love philosophy. I like to wonder and find many answers to the same question. It's like creative writing, it feeds my curious creative side.

whimsy and knowledge
That is the main way I have been learning things out of The Bible. The group that I study with focuses on a narrow band of scripture (in three weeks, they have only completed the first five chapters of Matthew. This leaves me with a large area to expand. It goes the same with my math. The only reason I know anything about calculus is because I pestered Mike about it one day. Toodles!

Re: whimsy and knowledge
If you think that's slow, you should have been at our Revelation study. We took over a year to complete it, and spent over two hours studying each time, plus however long we prayed. It was incredibly powerful, and I have a special place for that memory.

Keep asking your questions. It's what they call interacting with the text, and it's the only way you'll ever find your own answers. Let me know if I can help.
