This 1is better

I'm waiting to be picked up from Brewberry's. I really should not have walked over here, but couldn't remember directions to describe how to get to the dorm. It only now occurred to me that I do know how to get to the student center by car. Oh well, the walk, while painful, helped me relax a little.

On the way here I heard a child tell a mother that there was a puppy. Then came the dreaded
"He's a special puppy. He's responsible for her and helps her."
I was a good girl and didn't get mad, but I did cringe.

Things will work out. I have my latt and an outline.

Hugs!
Nickie

Ideally? I'd prefer to have her say "He's a special puppy because he's helping her get around." He's not really responsible for me because the goal is that I'm in control all the time. It's really nit-picky, but I don't like having other people think I'm not self sufficient/independent, and that's what the response seemed to say.
