Nasty! My first experiment with aromatherapy is not going well. I don't like the smell of chamomile, and no matter how much peppermint, tangerine and lavender I add, the smell stays there.Maybe it will grow on me?

It's a very very strong oil. How much did you put in...? And how are you mixing your oile? Some of this may depend on the quality of the oils too. Either way, chamomile is going to dominate the blend... What I can tell you is that peppermint will probably amplify it and lavender may tone it down a bit over time. I'll look in my info and see what I blended it with. It's been a very long time since I've had any--it's expensive and sometimes sets off my migraines. Are you sticking these in a diffuser?

[hugs] If you need any help with these, feel free to ask. I'm not an aromatherapist, but I've been using oils for three years both in lotions and in a diffuser.

Re: chamomile
I had thought I'd only added 2 or so drops, but when a sighted friend looked in, she said the bottle I'm mixing in is about a third full. So I suspect I added more than I thought...

Re: chamomile
I don't try to measure with drops--it's impossible as a blind person... I use 1 ml glass droppers and do everything by the milliliter (feels like spelling Mississippi!) You can practice filling these with water to get the hang of doing less if you want less... For chamomile, I would put less than 1 ml in for every 3 ml of lavender. Actually, I get 3 ml disposable pipettes via Mountain Rose Herbs. There's a link on my site here on the supplies page if you want it. I also order my oils there.

Re: chamomile
Thanks for that! I'll definitely check that out.
