Lovely...

I just found out from the pharmacy that Amitriptyline is a controled substance! I didn't want to know that. Is that a really bad thing?
Hugs!

Re: weird
I know. It was never mentioned in anything I read and I read several articles on it including one on the medlineplus web site. Definitely something to ask the doctor about.

Doesn't "controled substance" just mean something you need a prescription for?

I'm not usre. But it sounds like it's not a narcodic or anything, which is what I was afraid of.

Thanks... That helps. I didn't think it was a narcodic, but I wonder what they really meant.

Don't worry about the amitriptyline. Maybe they meant you just need a prescription. I took it for seven years. I know it makes a good sleeping pill which is why I was supposed to take it at night if I didn't want to snooze at my desk.

Yeah. It does do well at helping with sleep and some of the pain issues.
